Hey everyone, it’s Jack again. I’m happy to say our two warmup races went well. At Silverstone, we might not have gotten the results we wanted but we benefited from a ton of valuable seat tim…
up to some excitement as there was a filming crew from NBC with us at Tom Cave’s base for the day. They were following along with our adventure and recording clips for an upcoming episode of Squawk Box. In between takes, we went out to a nearby field and had a mini gym session with Ayrton and Tom. It was a fun way to break up the day and get some exercise in. We also had the opportunity to chat with the crew and share our experiences so far. It was a great chance to spread the word about the Team USA Scholarship and what we hope to achieve.
Another highlight of our trip was visiting the Pirelli tire factory in Burton-on-Trent. We got to see the entire process of tire manufacturing, from the initial mixing of raw materials to the final quality control checks. It was fascinating to see the level of precision and attention to detail that goes into producing a single tire. We even had the chance to hold some of the different compounds and learn about the specific characteristics of each one.
Throughout our time in the UK, we’ve been lucky enough to receive support and guidance from some incredible mentors, including Rob Wilson, Kevin Mills, Tom Cave, Andrew Cumbers, Stuart Morrison, and many others. They have been instrumental in helping us improve our driving skills and providing valuable insights into the world of motorsport.
Overall, this trip has been an amazing opportunity to learn, grow, and experience the British racing scene. We’ve had the chance to race at iconic circuits, visit top F1 teams, and meet some incredible people along the way. We’re grateful for the support we’ve received and are excited to continue representing Team USA in the upcoming races.
